Hello,
I am Francis Cavaco. As your Seekonk Selectman, I am very proud of the following accomplishments, which I have achieved during my first term in office:

1. The option of the Secret Ballot at Town Meeting when required.
2. Better transparency in the annual budget as it relates to all salaries. The Town Report now indicates where tax money is being spent.
3. Introduced a new contract to reduce trash collection by $110,000 in the next 5 years.
4. A two-payment system for the collection of trash fees.
5. Returned $3,300.00 back to the taxpayers on overcharged trench permit fees.
6. With the Board of Selectmen, hired a new Veterans' Agent, thus reducing the salary from $59,000 to $38,000, saving $21,000 to the tax payers.
7. Implemented office hours: every Monday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for any Seekonk citizen to walk in and talk to me directly.
8. My Selectman's stipend is donated entirely to Seekonk's needy.
